Read it online znew [options] [files] Uncompress .Z files and recompress them in .gz format. Options -9 Optimal (and slowest) compression method. -f Recompress even if filename.gz already exists. -t Test new .gz files before removing .Z files. -v Verbose mode. -K If the original .Z file is smaller than the .gz file, keep it. -P Pipe data to conversion program. This saves disk space.
